I am fascinated by the way different events and characters, perhaps coincidentally framed together, create a vacuum of narrative and meaning. Despite the fact that such dislocation or the absence of meaning may render the content unreadable, a certain message is still conveyed and received. My work aims to highlight the inherent discrepancies in the narrative of the image itself, and the misinterpretations that arise from the differing cultural contexts of the viewers. I seek to reconstruct another perspective on the core of things and events through painting.
